Garages, Annexes, Swimming Pools & Other Outbuildings

You can only reclaim Vat on the main dwelling and a basic garage if built in conjunction with the main build. This means, if your garage has a loft, anything in that loft area can not be reclaimed or if your garage has an internal workshop, the value of the vat reclaim for that workshop area must be deducted from the value of your reclaim. Garages, annexes, swimming pools & any other outbuildings can not be reclaimed for and must be left out or deducted from the claim.
